This invention relates to the application of lettering, figures, pictures or designs to glass and to other surfaces wherein the lettering, pictures, figures or designs are printed or impressed upon a sheet int the position which they will assume on the surface upon they are eventually to be applied and in which an adhesive is applied upon that face of the sheet which is to lie in contact with the surface destined to receive the lettering, figures, pictures or designs, and on the sheet being applied in position that part which does not carry the lettering, pictures or designs is removed , leaving the lettering, pictures or designs alone exposed.
